The Rooster Who Crows on Halloween

Inside the tales

Halloween brings plenty to supervise.

For Rex, Halloween brings plenty to supervise. For Reeb and Ripp, it brings mysterious noises, unlikely visitors, and a feast that does not go quite as planned.

These thirteen warm, gently spooky tales follow a beloved house rooster and the birds who share his yard, through laughter, small frights, and the love that lingers after someone is gone.

Rex, Reeb, and Ripp are real roosters and beloved members of the author’s family. Their adventures here are imagined, and the five hens who share these pages are fictional, as are the birds’ conversations and the supernatural happenings.
